Last week the Preps, Year 1 and Year 2 class went on a little excursion to Gawula to assist with their HASS assessment. What a wonderful morning we had. With the help of Ms Webb we learnt about the special connection the Darumbal people have to this area of Cawarral. We learnt about Chinaman’s cave and the mountain itself Gai-i. Ms Webb also showed us some different plants, the soap tree and the sandpaper tree. She also introduced us to some bush tucker the strawberry guava. It was only a little walk, but it certainly was an interesting morning.
