Introducing Step into Prep
Starting next Friday, 13th October, we will be extending the learning and fun with our Step into Prep program, which will run from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, right after our playgroup. These sessions will take place in the library and will run from week 2 to week 6 and are tailored for those children commencing prep in 2024.
What's The Focus?
The aim of these sessions is to gauge what our incoming prep students know and can do. This will help us target their educational needs as efficiently as possible from day one. We'll focus on basic numbers, letters, and comprehension activities, all wrapped up in a fun and engaging manner. Not only will your children learn, but they will also get a tour of the school and become familiar with our routines and rules.
Why is Prep Important?
Prep is more than just a year of fun and games (though there's plenty of that, too!). It's the foundation of your child's educational journey. It's where they learn not just numbers and letters but also social skills, emotional intelligence, and the importance of community. Your child's prep year sets the tone for their schooling years, instilling a love for learning and a sense of belonging.
Final Week Info Session - 10th November
On the final week of the program, Mrs Cook and I will host a comprehensive Prep Info Session for all new families for 2024. We'll talk about the importance of prep, set expectations, and share tips on how to ensure a successful year ahead.
