Mrs Julie Cook one of the authors of Oh Dear, That's My Rear visited our Preps, Year 1 and Year 2 classes today. Coowonga students joined us for this amazing experience. Mrs Cook was thrilled to see the costumes, puppets, writing tasks and artwork done by students in preparation for her visit and our assessment tasks.
Some students shared their narratives with Mrs Cook and the class. She was impressed by the quality of their writing.
Mrs Cook also discussed some children's planners and read their drafts. Hopefully this has inspired the children with future writing tasks.
We appreciate Mrs Cook's visit and especially her sharing of how the story about Rheo came about and how much fact was mixed with the fiction.
We also appreciate the students from Coowonga who shared their puppet theatres with us.
